The Wily EagleFox…Now in Glorious Color!

Monday, November 21st, 2011

As you can see, I’ve digitally colored the EagleFox, who still needs a name. I’ve kept the colors, the black line, and the highlights on separate layers for easy editing later. Which is good, because I think these colors are going to need a bit of tweaking before I’m entirely happy with them. Even so, here it is.

Kind of puts you in the mood to watch some improv comedy, doesn’t he?

The Wily EagleFox

In his native habitat.

An illustration I did for my improv team, EagleFox.

I’ve been reading a lot of Floyd Gottfredson Mickey Mouse comics lately, courtesy of those gorgeous hardbound collections Fantagraphics has been putting out lately. It’s a lot of fun to try to ape Gottfredson’s style. Such a lively, bouncy ink line. Plus, the comics are incredibly fun.
